Halcro, the liar

Well, it had to happen. Again. Another observant reader caught me in another lie. It has happened before, and will happen again. After all, I am only a shill for Big Oil, doing its dirty work while I also try and take revenge against a governor who cleaned my clock in the last election.

Here's what the reader sent me:

Dear Andy,

I read this comment, and your response, in another forum. Your response to the reader's question is an outrageous lie and demonstrates why you are nothing more than an empty vessel, shilling for Big Oil while maintaining your grudge against Governor Palin.

"LNG and a lack of backbone...
Submitted by Super Dave (not verified) on Wed, 2008-03-19 17:30.
This is one that I don't understand and I never have. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the entire backbone group work to get the Sarah elected? That's why AGIA confused me. We have the LNG folks providing most of the heavy lifting for her during the campaign, but post election the AGIA formula seems to preclude any serious consideration of the in-state LNG line. While I am a pipeline to the Midwest guy myself, I never "got" why the Hickel folks got kicked to the curb so quickly and completely. I'd almost bet Wally has no idea himself. Any light you can shine on this, oh wise one, would be of great assistance to those of us who wander in the dark.

Andrew's Response:

"Campaigning and governing always seem to be inconsistent. The real story is that once elected, she finally had people telling her exactly why the LNG route doesn't make sense at this time."

Your response, Andy, shows that you are willing to lie, lie, lie to do whatever you have to for your Big Oil pals. Here are the facts, Andy. First, the Palin administration did not evaluate the merits of the LNG proposal within their AGIA response. The application submitted by the All Alaska Gasline folks was rejected as insufficient. It seems that your Big Oil pals refused to honor a written contract and not release critical cost estimation data to the All Alaska Gasline group before the AGIA deadline. The Palin administration had no choice but to reject the application as incomplete. That is all in writing and well documented, by the way. That information is all up on the AGIA web site.

But despite what happened, the Palin administration is doing a review of the LNG option and have said so numerous times, in multiple forums. Even if you missed the public AGIA forums that were held around the state where this came up, the issue was also reported in all Alaska newspapers. It is very clear from what I've read that LNG can access premium, world markets, and is clearly the more viable plan for Alaska. While your Big Oil Pals may not like it, it is the option that Alaska voters have supported many times.

So why did you feel that you had to lie, Andy? Are you afraid of the truth? Of course you are. You are just a puppet doing what you are told. How sad. You had such potential. And now here you are, a defeated, and proven, liar.

Andy's response: Well, what can I say, you caught me in another lie. So what? I do have an agenda, and if I have to lie or distort the truth, then that is what I'll do. So what are you going to do about it?

Now where's my pipe?

Conservative Values?

Pride Rally
Conservative Values?

An alert reader of the AndyHalcro.com blog sent in this picture of Danny Fagan. The reader asked who Fagan's boyfriend was. While Danny and I have a fabulous relationship, I do not know who the guy in the picture is. The reader also wondered if Fagan wasn't a bit of a hypocrite when it came to conservative values.

It is hard to say. Fagan does a radio show on KFQD where he regularly espouses Big Oil rhetoric. In Fagan's view, the oil industry can do no wrong, and Sarah Palin can do no right. Fagan is a newcomer to Alaska, and he simply does what his pals in the oil industry tell him to do. Big Oil has a mandate to take as much money out of Alaska as is possible. It is important that it use surrogates like Danny and me to advance its objectives by spreading propaganda that attacks any Alaska leader who will takes seriously the concept of upholding their oath of office.

Some have compared Fagan to Rush Limbaugh, another talk radio loud mouth who says one thing and does another. Alert readers may recall that Rush routinely called for stiff penalties for drug users while he was illegally abusing drugs. Some role model.

Should Fagan be held to any standard at all? Probably not, after all, Fagan is merely an entertainer; like a circus clown.

Fagan also has a handicap in that he isn't very bright. When a caller to Fagan's show begins to make a fool out of Fagan for some absurd position Fagan has offered, the caller gets disconnected. Fagan has neither the courage nor the intelligence to go toe to toe with bright Alaskans who attempt to defend the best interests of our state.

So, dear readers, I do not expect much from my pal Fagan. I accept my poorly educated friend for who he is- warts and all.

Please, do keep those pictures coming. I'll post good pictures up on this blog for everyone's enjoyment.

Its a Girl!

Spying on Babies?I joined my Big Oil pals for a serious round of drinking the other night. These are the big wigs who are becoming enormously wealthy off of $108.00 per barrel crude oil. As you can imagine they were all in high sprits. After a few hours my friends were smashed. And that is when I learned a few amazing things I'll share with you, dear readers.

It seems they've been keeping a closer eye on Sarah Palin than we knew about.

My friend, I'll call him "Bill" was telling me, bragging actually, that they knew more about Sarah than I did.

"Impossible", I said. Bill laughed and said, "Andy, let me tell you what. We have special teams that are required to dig up dirt on every person in Alaska who might be in a position to help us."

"Tell me more", I exclaimed. I just knew I was going to be getting some good juicy info on Sarah. I was breathless with excitement. "Well, we even have dirt on you Andy", Bill said. "But we ain't gonna talk about that, lets talk about Sarah. I bet you didn't know she was pregnant until the news story?" "No", I said. "Well, we knew. And we've known for a long time. We have some guys up in the Conoco building in Anchorage. See, we can look out the windows and see over to the Governor's office in the Atwood building. The two office towers are right next to each other. We see everything. We even have lip readers who can tell us what's going on, and we have some of the best optics money can buy."

My goodness, I knew I was going to get a scoop. "So tell me the dirt?" To my disappointment, Bill said, "No. She's clean as a whistle. Highly ethical- and she smiles a lot. She ain't a sourpuss like you Andy. But you know what? She's gonna have a girl."

Not exactly what I was looking for. Nope. I asked my oil pal, Bill, if Big Oil worried about getting caught, "Isn't what you are doing illegal?" Bill said, "Heck, we let the lawyers worry about that. Remember when we got caught last time, about 20 years ago when Alyeska hired Wackenhut to spy on all those prominent Alaskans? Heck, we just wrote a big check in the out of court settlement and bought all those people off."

He added, "things are easier when you have the big bucks. Heck, you can buy all the friends you want. Legislators, administration types, even a chief of staff."

So there you have it, loyal readers. Next time I might share all the good stuff Big Oil has on Jay Ramras and Ralph Samuels.

An Apology

Well, Ladies and Gents, I must apologize for losing the already thin support I once had. Sad, but true.

You've no doubt heard about the excellent work done by the Hays Research group.

They have a new poll out. Governor Sarah Palin has a public approval rating of 85%. Not only is her popularity growing, but she is the most popular governor in the country.

And I can only guess that my support from the nut jobs is eroding. The survey respondents who said Sarah was not doing a good job, who said that they had a "very unfavorable" opinion of Palin; i.e. my supporters, is at only 5%. That is about an 80% decline in the number of people who voted for me.

Ouch.

But all is not lost!! Randy Ruedrich is really, really unpopular. Even less so then I am. Only 1% of Alaskans thought he was doing a good job. 26% of Alaskans' thought he was doing a bad job- and to show that Alaskans are even smarter than I give them credit for, Don Young has a well earned 35% disapproval rate... Holy smokes. That million bucks he has spent on those criminal defense attorneys must be hurting him.

So my constant harping about how terrible I think Sarah and her administration are is not doing me much good. She is getting more popular while I am losing support.

Maybe it is time for me to rethink my strategy. Knowles got his fanny kicked in the election by Sarah like I did and he had the good sense to respect the voter's wishes and shut up after his loss.

My People

Ohh those lovely supporters of mine. Ya gotta love'em. Over on the ADN politics blog they have shown their true colors. It seems Sarah is preggers and the ADN has
a blog about the happy event.

So my loyal followers have been using the news of Sarah and Todd's happy moment to be very critical of her. Sdog and AKlady have delivered some of the most insulting, and frankly, twisted comments I have ever seen.

These are the nine percenters who voted for me. I should not scare away my base. But gee whiz. Whatever happened to basic decency? My supporters have hit rock bottom and have shown themselves to be some of the most twisted, unhappy, nut jobs in Alaska.

So there it is, you twisted Halcro supporters. I don't care if some of you do not ever vote for me ever again. A few of you make my skin crawl.

Andy Halcro

I have family members who work for the big oil companies and a rich daddy who has given me all the money I could ever want. So, I get kinda bored sitting around the mansion all day. That's why I have started this blog and web site. I want to show people that I really am the smartest human being alive. I am certainly smarter than that girl governor! Please enjoy the Andy Halcro Parody Blog and be sure to add your own comments!
